EMCAN Home Care, also known as Elderly Muslim Care Action Network, is a provider of in-home care services for elderly and disabled individuals, established to cater to the increasing needs of the elderly communities in the Chicago area, our organization has since evolved to embrace seniors from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Through our extensive research, we’ve identified a pressing issue – many seniors, irrespective of their cultural backgrounds, struggle to access essential personal care and daily assistance, often slipping through the cracks of the system. These individuals have a strong desire to remain in the comfort of their homes, where their cultural familiarity provides a sense of belonging.
With a growing population and the limited availability of affordable senior nursing facilities, seniors are faced with limited options. In response to this challenge, we believe that in-home care offers a practical and compassionate solution to address the evolving needs of our target population.
